Radishes
Results from First Group of Radishes
- Roughly halfway through this set, plant growth stagnated. Potential causes for this are overwatering, root crowding, or variance in measuring techniques
- Overwatering can be solved by watering future plants less, root crowding is solved by putting fewer seeds in each pot, and more diligence on my part is needed to limit variance in measuring techniques
- Due to the number of issues and this being my first attempt at the experiment, it could serve largely as a preliminary test where I learn more about how to most effectively run the experiment
Results from Second Group of Radishes
- Was able to get plant growth in nearly every radish pot for second set
- Plant 15 died a few days into the growth period, so its results are set at 0
- Further researching about specific radishes used seem to indicate that growth period is shorter than what I'm giving them, which could explain the stagnating heights
- None of thew plants had edible bulbs, still no clear indicator as to why that is
Lettuce
Results from First Group of Lettuce Plants
- Similar to first group of radishes, lettuce only grew in the pots of 100% potting soil
- Pot 2 had major growth near the end of the growth period
Bell Peppers
Results From First Group of Lettuce Plants
No bell peppers grew for first group
